In case you missed it, Toy Story That Time Forgot was a Christmas special that aired on Television, this Christmas gone. And even though it’s only 22 minutes long, it took the Pixar/Disney team 3 years to make! In short, this TV Special is a delight to watch, and a must see for all you Toy Story fans.
When I first watched Toy Story back in 1995 I was truly amazed by how wonderful it looked and by how amiable the characters were. Toy Story 2 was so much fun, and as good as the original Toy Story. Toy Story 3 topped it all. I was sceptical about it, but once I had seen it, I knew it was my favourite. How is that possible!? I haven’t heard anyone say that Taken 3 was their favourite from the trilogy, have you? Toy Story 3 is the best Toy Story film to date, I can confidently say that, and I know that I am not alone. John Lasseter is a genius. And with Toy Story 4 confirmed, I can only wait with anticipation, as sceptical as I may be about it, I am certain it will be a joy to watch. Who’s with me?
It’s so great that these characters are still very much alive in popular culture and entertainment, and they still sell as toys! This xmas special is the second of its kind, the first was a halloween special that was entitled, Toy Story of Terror. They are both very fun and energetic to watch, and even if you’re not a kid, but still a kid at heart, you will be entertained very much by what this super cool band of toys get themselves into.
Fun, suspenseful, comedic and good old angelic, this Toy Story TV Special will remind you of how amazing and emotional a Pixar production can be. Inside Out is coming later this year, and I will be first in line at the theatres, I hope so anyway.
TRIVIA COOKIE: Pixar is known for adding several easter eggs to their films. Classroom number A113 is in all Pixar films, but I must admit I haven’t been able to find it in Toy Story That Time Forgot, anybody know where it is?
