Star Wars - Return Of The Jedi (1983) British Quad.jpg

MINI REVIEW: How do you end something that started so well, and then got better at right about the middle? Are you even supposed to end something as grand as Star Wars? Apparently Disney doesn’t think so, so we can expect a Star Wars film each year, for the next 6 years, you ready!? Back in 1983 it did end, and as awesome a film as Return Of The Jedi is, it comes a touch short of being as stellar as Episode IV or V.

The action set pieces are entertaining and even if you may not like the Ewoks, you must admit they look kind of cute. The sound and visuals still hold up even till today, but perhaps it’s the fact that all the wander and excitement for our introduction to this universe has worn off by this point that Episode VI doesn’t quite feel as awesome. But it is the final instalment to the first trilogy, and it is a must see film, only to see the final outcome of Darth Vadar and Luke Skywalker, and to experience the emotion of saying goodbye to the Star Wars gang.

We are literally hours away from the release of The Force Awakens, so anything Star Wars is exciting, because the gang will be back! Let’s hope that J J Abrams has got what it takes to strike back and return the legacy with full force! Here are 7 stunning frames from Star Wars – Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi, enjoy!
